Weekly Sunday Service

The Sunday service proceeds from the full prayer, the abbot's sermon, lunch, to optional afternoon activitie (shown below).

*Please note that the Sunday services are held in Korean, but we welcome any non-Korean speakers who are interested in the services to join us.

* Sunday Shuttle Buses are available in Flushing, NY, Mahattan, NY, and Palisades Park, NJ

SPECIAL ANNUAL CEREMONIES

  • 1st solar term of 24 solar terms(Lunar Feb 4th): Spring Prayer

  • Jan 1st: New Year's Prayer

  • May 8th: Vesak Day (Buddha's Birthday) Ceremony and celebration

  • July 15th: Baekjoong- Commemorative ceremony for the ancestors and the deceased

  • Aug 15th: Chu Seok-Korean Thanksgiving Day

Established by the president of Korean Performing Arts Center(KPAC), Soo Yeon Park, and taught by her disciple, Hyuna Lee, Nae Woolrim is Wonkaksa's Korean Traditional Percussion group.
